Oystercatcher Seafood Bar & Grill

This is a beautiful restaurant, and the setting is fantastic! Our server was prompt, polite, and friendly, and the food was delicious! I had the Pasta Milano and it's some of the best pasta I've had at a restaurant. I will definitely go back next time I'm on the island.

Seafood chowder was absolutely delicious and the chef's presentation was delightful. We sat outside next to the firepit heater overlooking the harbor, really nice.

We travel from Duncan over to Saltspring to eat here, then head to the beach. This place is a MUST. Any and all foodies will be in love.

My partner and I went for dinner and had a lovely time. The ambience was very pleasant and the patio was nicely set up with fires. There are many local small birds which are adorable and quite friendly which really adds to the outdoor appeal. The food was great (especially the calamari) but the shining star of the evening was our server, Cam. He was excellent. He was kind, funny, knowledgeable and we were very happy with his service. I would return to this venue solely to have him be my server again. All in all, I would happily recommend this venue.

Very nice atmosphere and excellent service. Our waiter was super friendly and professional, and food very tasty. We had one small issue with a main dish but quickly corrected by the staff. Our family dinner at Oystercatcher exceeded our expectations making for a lovely night out. We will definitely return wjen we next visit Salt Spring Island!!

I had the lamb burger and it was fantastic... fresh local lamb, the bun was really nice! He had the halibut burger and he thought it was really good with the fresh slaw being a nice addition. Fries were perfect. The staff were great, really friendly and helpful with ideas around the island.

Greg, our server, deserves a special mention. He exemplified what exceptional service truly means—attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. His attention to detail and genuine passion for ensuring guests have an outstanding experience truly enhanced our visit. The food was nothing short of exquisite. My fish and chips were not only delicious but also highlighted the freshness that I had previously felt was lacking. Visiting from Vancouver where we have a lot of great food and typically avoid anything under a 4-star rating, I was hesitant about choosing to eat here due to some recent reviews not being stellar. Our party really wanted seafood so we ended up eating here and I was so pleasantly impressed! We ordered: seafood chowder, clam chowder, seafood linguine, California pizza and a caesar salad. Everything was really fresh, cooked perfectly and good portion sizes. The chowders were a good level of creaminess with notable chunks of seafood in it, the caesar salad was a good helping that 3 of us could share, the seafood linguini was really good with chunks of perfectly cooked salmon, shrimp and mussels in it. Service was good and kind. Hopefully they are consistent with their quality going forward, if so, then would recommend.
